It’s not often that an accommodation of any kind gets everything right, but O’Driscoll’s B&B in Glin, Co. Limerick, Ireland comes closer than any place we have stayed yet. It is located conveniently along the N69, the main route from Limerick to Foynes and on to the sights of the west. Proprietor Estelle O’Driscoll simply has a knack for making her guests feel at home. She says she wants her rooms to be the kind of places where she would want to stay if she were a visitor. She has succeeded in spades!
The B&B has 4 rooms, 2 large family rooms, a mid-size family room and a small single used only when needed. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you will need covered, including a plethora of power points and a large flat screen television. The internet works well, and the overall feel is one of total quality.
Breakfast is served in an attractive breakfast room overlooking a beautiful garden. Estelle has prepared a menu of several very tasty breakfasts that will please any guest. If you are visiting the countryside west of Limerick (and you really, really should), O’Driscolls is definitely the place to stay!
