Irish Ferries has announced that a new ship will be deployed on their popular Holyhead/Dublin route expected to boost tourism from the important British market. The new ferry, the Epsilon, will increase services on this important route by two additional round trips a day.

Welcoming the announcement, Niall Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, said: “As an island, convenient, direct access is absolutely critical for continuing growth in inbound tourism. Today’s announcement is more good news as we head into 2014. We already work very closely with Irish Ferries and look forward to even closer co-operation to maximise promotion of these services from Holyhead.
