Some may balk at this review of a hotel belonging to the lowest chain of the Hilton brand, but our experience with this particular Hampton Inn has always been more like coming home than staying in a hotel. We’ve stayed at this hotel in the past, and we always enjoyed our stays. Our most recent stay was no exception, as we found that the long-awaited renovation had finally been completed. The staff could not be more welcoming and friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests – they even stored a cake for us to keep it refrigerated before a family gathering!
The rooms are now in line with the rest of the chain, but large by any standards with enough space to have room for a comfortable chair, desk, queen size bed and all the expected extra furniture. There was more drawer space than is usually found in luxury hotels. There are mirrors where needed and power points are plentiful – there was even a charging station in our room with outlets and USB receptacles.
The flat screen television offered a plethora of HD channels. They use the standard Hilton “Wayport” access system, but unlike in most sister hotels, theirs actually worked flawlessly! And the heating unit below the window had a thermostat and two fan settings assuring we could actually hear the television and maintain a good level of comfort in all the rooms. Surely by now you get the point that this is one of our most favourite hotels. Located just 13 miles north of Nashville, this little Hampton Inn should please anyone who wants a comfortable room at a good rate and does not need the glitz (or expense!) of a big city hotel.
