Our motto, “Don’t just see Europe…experience it!“, is even more meaningful when experiencing it from the comfort of a Viking River or Ocean ship. We have preferred relationships with almost every major cruise line through our agency, but Viking is always our first go-to choice. Why? Because Viking is one of the most awarded cruise lines in the world! They have won both the Condé Nast Traveler “Reader’s Choice Award” and the Travel + Leisure “World’s Best Award” every year consecutively since 2016. In 2023, both companies voted Viking to the top of their oceans, rivers and expeditions categories. And awards are great, but we are here to tell you about the experience – after 3 Viking cruises, we can attest to the fact that they are wonderful!
This is why we have planned no less than two Viking cruises for ourselves in 2024, and we would love for you to come along. Note that we will not be “guides” or group leaders, however, we will be on hand to have fun alongside you and enjoy the great ports and tours of each trip. There is a great sale going on in January with up to $400 off per cabin for first-time Viking guests. And, if even a few of you show up, we may be able to get some further special rates!
We invite you to join us on one or both of our planned 2024 Viking cruises this year. We will begin with a river cruise, the “Capitals of Eastern Europe,” in April aboard the VIKING KADLIN. The embarkation date is April 14th, however we are departing Atlanta on the 8th for a pre-cruise extension to Transylvania and the mountains in Romania. The cruise ends in Vienna on April 28th. This 17-day cruise includes 12 guided tours and covers 7 countries, including Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, none of which we have ever visited!
Our second cruise is Iceland’s Majestic Landscapes, aka David’s Big Birthday Bash! This cruise is aboard the ocean ship, VIKING VENUS. This is a 13-day cruise with 9 guided tours covering 3 countries. It begins on July 26th in Bergen, Norway (be sure to visit the seafood market!), continuing to Flåm to see the beautiful Norwegian Fjords, up the coast to Ålesund where we will see a fascinating blend of coastal splendour, alpine magnificence and unique architecture, and then cruising up to Geiranger, the gateway to some of coastal Norway’s most magnificent natural treasures.
From Norway, we will head to Tórshavn, the capital of the Faroe Islands, an archipelago that rises above the North Atlantic waters halfway between Norway and Iceland. Finally, we head to Iceland, circumventing the entire island to visit Seydisfjördur, Akureyri, ĺsafjördur and finally Reykjavík, the world’s northernmost capital city.
If you are interested in either or both of our cruise adventures, or any cruise or tour at all, please let us know. We have a limited number of $200 shipboard credits to toss in for the first few guests! We’d love to have you join us.
